For a long time, years even, the American public has waited for answers regarding those who investigated the Trump 2016 campaign.

Attorney General Barr had promised results from the ongoing Durham probe, which has been elevated to a criminal investigation.

With the election only months away, we’ve seen the first fruits of this investigation.

And Barr has just landed his first guilty plea:

Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith will plead guilty to making a false statement in the first criminal case arising from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the investigation into links between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign, two sources close to the matter tell Fox News.

Clinesmith was referred for potential prosecution by the Justice Department’s inspector general’s office, which conducted its own review of the Russia investigation.

Durham’s investigation into the Obama admin’s Russia probe has resulted in its first prosecution.

Reports say that former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith will plead guilty to making a false statement.

Back when the Inspector General released his own report on the Russia probe, he revealed that an FBI lawyer altered an email used in the FISA application process.

Someone within the FBI altered information, providing false information, in order to get the warrant to spy on Carter Page.

We now know that lawyer was Clinesmith. According to the latest report, he changed an email to Page was “not a source” for another agency.

When the FBI knew that Page was a source for the CIA.

Had the FISA court known Page was working with the CIA, it would not have been likely for them to approve the warrant.

After all, Obama’s FBI was trying to make it look like Trump’s campaign was scheming with Russia. But if their one suspect was actually a CIA asset? Then their narrative goes out the window.

It seems like Clinesmith altered the email to get the warrant.

But the question remains, who was behind all this? Would Clinesmith have done this all on his own? Is it really probable that one lawyer would have altered this information and the rest of the agency working on this case not know about it?

Barr promised something today. He said it would not be “earth-shaking” but it would prove the investigation is continuing.

With Clinesmith pleading guilty it leads to new questions. Will he cooperate with Durham and provide more information?

Bill Barr just sent shockwaves through the swamp and politicians on both sides of the aisle are calling their lawyers.

Barr and the Justice Department just opened a probe into the weird stock trades a few Senators made right before the crash.

GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler of Georgia, California Senator Dianne Feinstein, Jim Inhofe from Oklahoma and Richard Burr from North Carolina are the ones feeling the heat.

The report says that so far only Burr has been contacted by investigators.

CNN reported Sunday that the inquiry, which was launched in cooperation with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), is still in its early stages, according to two people familiar with the matter. However, at least one lawmaker, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), has been contacted by investigators, according to CNN.

Burr is one of four senators who sold thousands of dollars’ worth of stock in the days before the stock market began a historical downturn amid nationwide travel and work restrictions implemented to stop the spread of coronavirus, as well as reports of jobless claims jumping to historic levels due to the crisis.

A spokeswoman for the North Carolina senator insisted that Burr used no nonpublic information when making his financial decisions, as is required by the STOCK Act, and pointed to the Senate ethics inquiry Burr had requested upon news of the trades becoming public in a comment to CNN.

“The law is clear that any American — including a Senator — may participate in the stock market based on public information, as Senator Burr did. When this issue arose, Senator Burr immediately asked the Senate Ethics Committee to conduct a complete review, and he will cooperate with that review as well as any other appropriate inquiry,” said Alice Fisher, Burr’s lawyer.

Burr, she added, “welcomes a thorough review of the facts in this matter, which will establish that his actions were appropriate.”

Spokespeople for the Justice Department, the FBI and the SEC declined to comment.

In an interview with CNBC on Monday morning, SEC Chairman Jay Clayton would not confirm the inquiry, but sent a warning about trading with private information.

“Anyone who is privy to private information about a company or about markets needs to be cautious about how they use that private information. That’s fundamental to our securities laws and that applies to government employees, public officials, etc, and the Stock Act codifies that,” Clayton said.

Burr’s sales represent a sizable share of his portfolio of stocks, according to his latest Senate financial disclosure documents filed in May 2019, although exact numbers aren’t possible because lawmakers only report trades as a range of dollar values.

Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, dug themselves a deep hole with impeachment. But Barr’s about to make it a lot deeper.

What will Durham find in this search? Nothing good for the Democrats, that’s for sure.

They have been desperately trying to pin all kinds of allegations onto to Trump. Time and again, they’ve failed. Often we learn they are the ones with dirty closets with plenty hiding in them.

So it would not be a surprise to find that they are accusing Trump of trying to coerce Ukraine when all the while they’ve been the ones doing it.

But will they get off scot-free once again? Democrats seem to get away with a mountain of wrongdoing, thanks to the liberal media that covers it up for them.

When will they finally face the justice they deserve? Maybe very soon, thanks to Durham.
